This notice explains how information is used when you contact AIL Recovery about recovery, jump starting or vehicle transport.
Who to contact
Contact AIL Recovery, operated by AIL Accident Repair Limited, via WhatsApp chat or voice call on 07807 220569 or 07404 550018, or by post at 140 Burnham Road, Dartford, Kent, DA1 5AZ.
Information you provide
Enquiries may include your name, phone number, collection and delivery locations, vehicle details, preferred date, condition, photographs and messages. Please send only information relevant to the job. Do not send payment-card details, identity documents or unrelated personal information through the quote form.
How the quote form works
The form prepares a message in your browser. Quote details are not submitted to the website server or review database. Choosing “Continue to WhatsApp” passes the entered details to WhatsApp in a prefilled link. WhatsApp may process the details when the link opens, before you press send. AIL receives the message when you send it. Do not continue if you do not want the entered details passed to WhatsApp.
Reviews submitted on this website
The review form sends your display name, rating and review to our website service, where they are stored and published immediately with your display name and rating, with your permission. This processing is based on your consent. You can contact us to withdraw permission or request removal. Published reviews are kept while displayed on the website, subject to periodic review. Short-lived, hashed connection identifiers are used to limit spam submissions and are cleared on subsequent requests after a day. Do not include private contact details or vehicle registrations.
Why information is used
Enquiry and booking information is used to respond, assess vehicle suitability and access, prepare a quote, arrange collection and delivery, and communicate about the job. Processing needed to prepare or perform your requested service is based on taking steps towards or performing a contract. Keeping required business records is based on legal obligations. Handling disputes, protecting vehicles and preventing misuse may be based on legitimate interests, balanced against your rights.
Who may receive information
WhatsApp processes messages under its own privacy terms. Hosting and security providers may process technical connection data such as IP addresses and request logs to serve and protect the website. Information needed for an agreed job may be shared with the collection or delivery contact, relevant service providers, insurers or authorities where necessary and lawful. Ask us before booking if you need to know which parties will handle your job.
Retention
Information should be kept only for as long as it is needed for the enquiry or job, applicable record-keeping obligations and the resolution of disputes. Relevant factors include whether a booking followed, whether a payment or complaint remains outstanding, and any legal requirement to retain a record. Contact us for the retention arrangements applying to your specific information. Copies held by WhatsApp or the hosting provider are subject to their own arrangements.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction or transfer of your information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests. Where consent is the basis, you can withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing. These rights may have legal exceptions. Contact us using the details above.
Concerns and external services
You can raise a privacy concern directly with us. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office. External services have their own policies, including WhatsApp’s privacy policy. Their processing may involve countries outside the UK; refer to their information on international transfers and safeguards.
